Group 3 sprint success for Hidden Force
Frankel three-year-old Hidden Force won the 6 furlong Gr.3 Bengough Stakes, recording a maiden Group success in the process.
Taken from the European Bloodstock News, 4th October 2026:
Relishing the drop in distance from a mile, Godolphin’s homebred son of Frankel, was restrained to race at the rear of the 11-runner field and travelled powerfully in the hands of Billy Loughnane until approaching the two-furlong marker. It was at this point that the Clive Cox-trained Jasour was asked to quicken at the head of affairs, while Hidden Force was short of racing room until being pulled out for a clear run approaching the final furlong. Once in the clear, Hidden Force quickened up smartly to surge to the front with a half furlong to race and stayed on powerfully to score comfortably by threequarters of a length. Marco Botti’s Prince Of India ran on to finish second, one and a quarter lengths ahead of Stratusnine, who finished third.
Hidden Force is a half-brother to the Listed Prix Casimir Delamarre winner Dancing Goddess, out of the Listed UAE 1,000 Guineas victrix Winter Lightning, a full sister to the Gr.2 May Hill Stakes winner Ihtimal.
