Oasis Dream one-two in the Group 3 Prix Imprudence
The Group 3 Prix Imprudence over 1400m, went the way of the Juddmonte homebred Oasis Dream filly Better Together, with another of Oasis Dream's daughters, Ghoufrann, taking second place.
Taken from the European Bloodstock News, 9th April 2025:
The three-year-old daughter of Oasis Dream was settled towards the rear of the nine-runner field throughout the early stages as Kaadi went off very quick on the front end to set a strong pace for the fellow Gousserie Racing-owned filly Daylight. The pacemaker began to come back to the field at the 500m pole and was soon swallowed up, with Daylight taking up the lead, before being run down by Better Together. She kicked clear inside the final 100m to win by one length from the fast-finishing Ghoufrann, who put in a big performance at a price of 50/1 to bring up a one-two in the race for Oasis Dream, with Daylight tiring in the closing stages to finish a further head back in third.
Better Together is now unbeaten in her last three starts, having won a two-year-old maiden over 1200m at this track last August, before going on to win in Listed company over yesterday’s distance at Deauville on the all-weather in November. Having taken the step up in grade in her stride yesterday, she will likely have a tilt at Gr.1 company next time out and she holds entries for both the Gr.1 Poule d’Essai des Pouliches at Longchamp next month and the Gr.1 Prix de Diane at Chantilly in June. The Prix Imprudence is a race with a strong roll of honour in recent years, with the first three home in last year’s renewal being Romantic Style, Ramatuelle and Tamfana, whilst Ervedya and Elusive Wave won this race before following up in the aforementioned Poule d’Essai des Pouliches.
She is a full-sister to the juvenile winner and Gr.2 May Hill Stakes-placed Sand Share, as well as a half-sister to the dual Gr.3 winner Pocket Square (Night Of Thunder) and the Listed Chester Stakes winner and Gr.2 Park Hill Stakes-placed Yesyes. (Camelot). They are out of the three-year-old winner and dual Listed-placed Shared Account (Dansili), a full-sister to the Gr.1 Grand Prix de Paris-winning sire Zambezi Sun and the Listed Prix Petite Etoile victrix Zero Gravity (dam of last season’s Gr.1 British Champions Fillies’ and Mares’ Stakes heroine Kalpana).
